Jesus is Condemned
We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?"
But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves."
And all the people answered, "His blood be on us and on our children!" Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered
him to be crucified.
Matthew 27: 13
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your Kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen
Jesus Christ Crucified.
Have Mercy on Us.
